Bill Overview

Analyzed Economic Effects

2 provisions identified: 1 benefits, 0 costs, 1 mixed.

Bigger health plan premium subsidies

If enacted, more people could get larger premium tax credits for Marketplace health plans. The bill would remove the 400% of poverty limit for credits. It would set a sliding scale for your share of premiums by income: up to 150% FPL = 0%; 150–200% = 0–2%; 200–250% = 2–4%; 250–300% = 4–6%; 300–400% = 6–8.5%; 400% and above = 8.5%. These changes would apply to tax years beginning after Dec 31, 2025.

Restore prior health care rules

If enacted, the bill would repeal Subtitle B of Title VII of Public Law 119-21. Agencies would treat laws and regulations as if that subtitle never existed. The repeal would take effect upon enactment. Insurers, agencies, and people whose coverage, rules, or subsidies changed under that subtitle could see earlier rules restored.
