Alaska ends three inactive state funds

Beginning July 1, 2026, the law removes the legal basis for Alaska’s public access fund. It also removes the Alaska Temporary Assistance Program Emergency Account. It repeals the authority for the 2001 Special Olympics World Winter Games Reserve Fund. This does not end the temporary assistance program or specify changes to household benefits or eligibility. The law does not say how any remaining money is handled.
