Your image and voice gain AI protections

Arkansas law extends protections for commercial use of your image or voice to versions made with artificial intelligence. Covered images include identifiable photos, videos, three-dimensional images, and other reproductions of your likeness. Covered voices include your actual voice and simulations, including AI-generated versions, that identify you.

Service providers get limits on liability

A service provider's liability exemption requires that it lack actual knowledge of a violation on its system or network. This covers photographs, voices, and likenesses that violate Arkansas's publicity-rights law. The law also removes the instruction to interpret the act broadly. It deletes language saying these rights are not intellectual property under federal online-service liability law.
