Funding helps Arkansas workers collect owed wages

Funding covers July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. The law does not set an individual payment amount or change minimum wage or overtime rules.

Funding supports boiler checks and electrician licensing

The law provides $863,279 for boiler inspection staff and operating costs. It also provides $697,611 for the Board of Electrical Examiners, which supports electrician licensing. Both amounts come from the Department of Labor and Licensing Special Fund. Funding covers July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. The law does not change inspection or licensing fee schedules.

Funding supports Arkansas labor agency operations

The law funds labor agency staff and operating costs from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. Shared department services receive about $3.85 million from the Shared Services paying account. State labor operations receive about $2.69 million from the Department of Labor and Licensing Fund Account. Federal labor programs receive about $1.60 million from federal funds designated by the state's chief fiscal officer. These funds support agency services, not direct household payments.
