Funding for publicly owned tourist facilities

Beginning July 1, 2025, the law sets aside $887,908 for facility debt payments and operating costs through June 30, 2026. Arkansas’s Treasurer of State uses money from the City-County Tourist Facilities Aid Fund. Facilities must be publicly owned and eligible under the City-County Tourist Meeting and Entertainment Facilities Assistance Law. Spending cannot exceed the amount set aside or funds legally available. Payments must follow state purchasing, accounting, budgeting, revenue, salary, and related financial rules. Spending must also match the purposes documented in official budget requests and recommendations. This funding pays facility costs, not direct household payments.
