Searcy County, Arkansas, voters elect a separate sheriff and tax collector at the 2026 general election. The offices become separate, and both elected officers take office, on January 1, 2027. Each officer must provide a bond for faithful job performance, following requirements set by law. The Searcy County Quorum Court sets each officer’s pay within minimum and maximum ranges set by the state legislature. Each officer hires deputies and receives other allowances as prescribed by the Quorum Court.
