Higher vehicle equipment caps for counties, cities
Arkansas counties and cities can include more extra equipment in new vehicle purchases without seeking competitive bids. The county cap rises from $1,200 to $2,000 above the awarded fleet price. The city cap rises from $600 to $2,000 above that price. This allowance covers only equipment or options unavailable under the state contract, and $2,000 is the maximum allowed overage. All other bidding exemption rules stay the same.
