The law sets aside $1.113841 million for heritage grants from the Arkansas Division of Heritage Special Fund Account. It also provides $500,000 in federal funds for historic preservation grants. The state's Chief Fiscal Officer designates those federal funds. Both appropriations cover July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. These grants support programs, not direct household payments.
The Division of Heritage must budget, allocate, and spend $20,000 in grants to the Ouachita River Commission. The money must come from the Commission's grant line in the Amendment 75 conservation tax appropriation. The Commission alone decides how to use the grant. The funding covers July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026.
