The law provides $274,075 for Northwest Arkansas Community College's Child Protection Training Center. Funding covers July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, and comes from the college fund. It includes $142,043 for salaries, $34,657 for employer benefit costs, and $51,250 for operations. Travel receives $10,250, and professional fees receive $35,875. The money supports the center's work, not direct household payments.
For July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, the law authorizes two pools of money for college operations. The college fund provides about $13.73 million: $13.07 million for regular salaries, $10,000 for operations, and $653,929 for contingency. A separate cash-fund budget provides about $78.48 million for salaries, temporary workers, overtime, benefits, operations, travel, and professional fees. That budget includes $19 million for employer benefit costs, $3.88 million for equipment, $1.07 million for capital improvements, and $4.05 million for debt payments. It also funds promotional items; these budgets support the college rather than direct household payments.
From July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, Northwest Arkansas Community College can employ up to 1,137 regular workers. The law sets job-specific maximum salaries for these positions. The college can also hire up to 360 temporary or part-time workers when needed. Their pay must stay within applicable state classification or act limits and come from money set aside for that purpose. These authorizations do not require the college to fill every position.
