More glucose monitor options for Arkansas Medicaid

Arkansas Medicaid members can get continuous glucose monitors at pharmacies with prescriptions, as a pharmacy benefit eligible for rebates. They can also get monitors through durable medical equipment providers with written orders from ordering practitioners. Equipment providers do not need to include a National Drug Code on claims. The Department of Human Services must use consistent approval requirements across both routes. It must pay equipment providers at least Medicare's reimbursement rate under the Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System.
