Patients get coverage for mobile healthcare

Health plans covered by Arkansas law must cover mobile-unit care when they cover the same service elsewhere. This includes private plans, Medicaid, and other state- or federally funded health programs, but excludes workers’ compensation plans. The law also covers out-of-state insurers with Arkansas subscribers when they are subject to Arkansas insurance laws. Care must come from a licensed provider in a wheeled unit used temporarily and meeting Arkansas Department of Health rules. The provider must bill using the designated mobile-unit location code. Your deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket limits cannot be less favorable than for the same service elsewhere.
