Arkansas IDs offer optional blood type labels

Beginning January 1, 2026, Arkansas allows optional blood type labels on driver's licenses and identification cards. You, your parent, or your guardian can apply through the Office of Driver Services with a signed blood type form. Applicants must pay the applicable license or card fee. For a duplicate or substitute license that has not expired, the fee under Arkansas Code § 27-16-806 applies. Applicants alone are responsible for checking submitted and printed information and must request an immediate correction if it is wrong. The Office can choose the label's placement and set rules for the process.
