In Arkansas, new lodging establishments must provide beds no higher than 23 inches in mobility-accessible rooms. Height is measured from the floor to the top of the mattress, whether compressed or not. Establishments that existed before the law's effective date must meet the same standard when the room needs an upgrade. The rule also applies when that room reaches the end of its life cycle.
