Arkansas ends disease intervention specialist registration

Arkansas repeals its registration system for disease intervention specialists, with no replacement system in this law. The repeal ends this chapter’s qualification, exam, continuing education, renewal, and fee rules. It removes misdemeanor penalties for practicing or claiming to be a specialist without current registration. It also ends the chapter’s disclosure limits, reporting rules, and rules for how the system operates. The State Board of Health loses its registration and discipline powers under this chapter, removing those public protections.
