Arkansas owners can apply for historic or special interest registration when vehicles are at least 30 years old, rather than 45. Age is measured at application or title transfer; reproductions and facsimiles must also have existed for at least 30 years. Registration costs $7 per vehicle, and owners can receive a special plate instead of the standard Arkansas plate. Antique plates are available for qualifying vehicles more than 30 years old, down from more than 45. Those antique plates must have been issued and approved for Arkansas use in the vehicle's model year.
