Arkansas expands its healthcare provider lists

Arkansas-licensed pharmacies now count as healthcare providers, alongside pharmacists, under the Patient Protection Act and any-willing-provider laws. The any-willing-provider list also includes licensed durable medical equipment providers. The State Insurance Department can add other state-licensed healthcare practitioners to that list through formal rules. These definition changes do not state a direct change to household costs or insurance coverage.
