Mid-South Community College plates end with inventory

Arkansas cannot print, produce, or acquire more Mid-South Community College education license plates. Drivers can get or renew these plates only while the existing supply lasts. Once that supply runs out, the plate program is treated as repealed.

New Make-A-Wish plates carry extra fees

Arkansas creates a special license plate for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid South. Drivers choosing it pay $40 beyond regular registration: a $30 contribution and a $10 handling fee. The state sends contributions to the foundation monthly, only for its promotion and support. The $10 fee goes to the State Central Services Fund as supplemental funding for the state's Revenue Division, not direct revenue. Plates can be renewed annually or replaced under existing procedures; this law does not specify those fees. The state also sends the foundation the renewal fees covered by the law each month.
