Property tax penalty relief for deployed troops

Arkansas law bars property-tax penalties during qualifying military deployments and for one tax year after deployment ends. This protection covers members of the U.S. Armed Forces, reserves, and National Guard. Deployment means assignment outside Arkansas under a Title 10 active-duty order, whether inside or outside the continental United States. To claim protection, submit a DD Form 214 showing your deployment date within one year after deployment ends. Give it to the county collector in the county where your taxes are due.
