Expanded group health reports, narrower access

Arkansas raises the reporting eligibility threshold from 25 to at least 50 insured employees under a comprehensive group health policy. For qualifying policyholders, insurers must provide requested reports within 30 days. Reports cover the most recent 12 months or the full coverage period, whichever is shorter. They show monthly paid medical claims, paid pharmacy claims, premiums paid, and enrolled-member counts, including dependents. For each member whose claims exceed $10,000, reports also show active or terminated coverage status and monthly paid medical and pharmacy claims. Enrolled members include insured employees, subscribers, and certificate holders. Policyholders can request reports more often than quarterly. Insurers need not disclose legally confidential information or claims data that could reasonably identify a member under federal health privacy rules.
