Easier incentive access for tourism businesses

Arkansas lowers minimum investment for tourism projects in Natural State Initiative Opportunity Zones from $250,000 to $50,000 in high-unemployment counties. In other counties, the minimum falls from $500,000 to $150,000. Zones can extend up to one mile beyond state parks, cultural or historic sites, or cultural or educational centers. The former limit was one-eighth of a mile. Existing project and zone standards still apply to companies building, operating, or planning to operate tourism attractions on owned or leased property.
