Beginning July 1, 2025, Arkansas sets yearly funding limits for public schools, colleges, state agencies, counties, and municipalities. For fiscal year 2025–2026 and each year after, total allocations cannot exceed about $6.494 billion or available revenue, whichever is less. Each account receives its set share; revenue shortages reduce payments in the same proportions. The Treasurer transfers remaining available revenue on July 2025’s last business day and each later month’s last business day. This money supports public services rather than creating direct household payments.
