For July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, the law authorizes about $29.65 million for South Arkansas College. This includes $7.61 million from the college’s state fund and $22.03 million from its cash funds. Together, these budgets include $9.95 million for regular salaries and $2.89 million for employer payroll-related costs. They also include $576,257 for temporary help and $50,000 for overtime. Cash funds cover $8.48 million for capital improvements and $800,000 for debt payments. The budgets also fund daily operations, travel, professional services, equipment, and a $362,582 contingency reserve. Spending depends on legally available money and must follow state budget, purchasing, accounting, and higher-education spending rules.
From July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, South Arkansas College can employ up to 302 regular workers. It can also use up to 175 temporary or part-time workers when needed. The law sets maximum yearly pay for listed jobs, including $208,138 for the president. Temporary workers’ pay cannot exceed the applicable job rate under state pay rules or this law. These limits authorize staffing and pay levels; they do not guarantee hiring or raises.
