Morrilton college gets operating and building funds

For July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, the law authorizes about $35.68 million for Morrilton college. This includes about $6.68 million from the college's state fund and $29 million from cash funds. State funding covers $5.092132 million in salaries, $1.262933 million in employer payroll costs, $10,000 in operations, and $318,253 for contingencies. Cash funding covers $4.5 million in salaries, $1 million for temporary workers, $10,000 in overtime, and $3 million in employer payroll costs. It also covers $7 million in operations, $200,000 for conferences and travel, and $550,000 in professional fees. Another $8.5 million supports building improvements, $3 million supports equipment and other capital purchases, and $1.2 million pays debt. Cash funding also includes $40,000 for promotional items. The college must follow state spending and purchasing laws; this is college funding, not a new household benefit.

Morrilton college sets staffing and pay limits

From July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, the Morrilton college can employ up to 289 regular employees. It can also hire up to 110 temporary or part-time workers when needed, using money set aside for that purpose. Regular employees' pay cannot exceed the listed salary limits. Temporary workers' pay cannot exceed the applicable rates under state classification rules or this law. These staffing limits do not guarantee jobs or pay raises.
