The law updates rules for Arkansas's Computer and Electronic Recycling Fund. The Department of Transformation and Shared Services must work with the Marketing and Redistribution Section to establish statewide contracts. These contracts cover businesses that recycle and take apart computers and electronics. The law specifies no contract amounts or new funding.
This rule applies when an Arkansas agency policy gives its employees first chance to buy surplus computers or electronics. The Department of Transformation and Shared Services now sets those sale prices, replacing the Department of Finance and Administration. The law sets no price or discount.
