Beginning July 1, 2025, Arkansas’s School for the Blind and School for the Deaf retain previously approved campus funding. Each school can use its remaining balance, capped at $15 million, from the Development and Enhancement Fund. The money covers campus maintenance, repairs, renovations, equipment, construction, property purchases, improvements, and upgrades—not direct household payments. The schools can add grants, donations, federal funds, and other available, uncommitted funds to cover project costs. Spending and contracts cannot exceed funds actually available. The schools must follow state purchasing, accounting, budget, revenue stabilization, and other fiscal laws unless another law provides an exception. They cannot use their Maintenance and General Operations funding for these projects.
