The law removes the July 1, 2025, expiration date for Arkansas’s medical marijuana special privilege tax. Businesses and other people covered by the tax must keep paying it beyond that date. Tax rates, exemptions, and other tax rules remain unchanged. The emergency clause makes the repeal effective immediately upon the Governor’s approval or expiration of the veto period without action. For an overridden veto, it takes effect when the last legislative chamber votes to override.
