2 provisions identified: 1 benefits, 1 costs, 0 mixed.

Pest-control applicants get faster exam retakes

The Arkansas Department of Agriculture must offer pest-control license exams at least once each quarter. Applicants who fail can retake the exam in the same classification after waiting at least 14 days. The previous required wait was three months.

Pest-control businesses face tighter licensing rules

The Arkansas Department of Agriculture takes over specified pest-control duties from the State Plant Board. It handles inspections, licenses, exams, applicant qualifications, registrations, and license-status notices. The law ends an exemption for unlicensed operators supervised before November 1, 1984, who remained with that license holder on June 28, 1985. It also ends permission for companies to operate for up to six months after their licensed manager leaves. That permission applied to companies operating for at least one year before the manager left.
