Arkansas law bans driving certain modified vehicles on public highways or streets. It covers passenger cars, pickups, SUVs, and panel trucks. Suspension, frame, or chassis changes must make the front bumper at least 4 inches higher than the rear bumper. No proof of intent is required. The first offense brings a $250 fine; second or later offenses within a 12-month period bring $500 fines. A third offense within that period also requires a 12-month driver's-license suspension, starting on the third conviction date.
