Homeschoolers gain access to farther private-school activities

Arkansas private schools can approve homeschooled students for interscholastic activities without the former 25-mile limit. The student or parent must still notify the school's administrative head in writing before its signup, tryout, or participation deadlines. Students must still meet academic requirements. One option is scoring at least at the 30th percentile on the Stanford Achievement Test Series, Tenth Edition, or another nationally recognized norm-referenced test within the previous 12 months. Alternatively, students can meet the minimum score on a test approved by the Arkansas State Board of Education.
