Businesses gain address options with reporting rules

The law covers Arkansas and out-of-state corporations and limited liability companies (LLCs). A corporation’s principal office is the main executive office listed in its annual franchise tax report. An LLC’s principal office is its main executive office; either business type can have that office outside Arkansas. Businesses without such an office can name their registered agent’s address as their principal office. Corporations using this option must give the Arkansas Secretary of State the physical address of a named officer or director. LLCs using it must provide the physical address of a named member or manager.
