Beginning July 1, 2026, courts stop charging the $15 technology fee for criminal and traffic case outcomes. This covers each conviction, guilty plea, no-contest plea, or bond forfeiture. People with these outcomes save $15 per qualifying event. Separate $15 filing fees remain for listed civil, family, probate, small-claims, and appeals-court matters, including appeals-court misdemeanor filings.
Beginning July 1, 2026, half of circuit and district court installment fees go to state general revenue. The additional $5 monthly fee for people paying district court fines in installments also goes to general revenue. These changes redirect collections rather than change installment amounts owed. Officials must send the money to the State Treasury monthly by the 10th.
Beginning July 1, 2026, Arkansas redirects driver's license reinstatement fee revenue without changing what drivers pay. General revenue receives 50% of fees tied to driving or boating while intoxicated, or refusing a chemical test. The law removes prior shares of 50% for State Police, 7% for public health, and 33% for Driver Services. For underage impaired-driving, impaired-boating, or test-refusal suspensions, 40% moves from the Blood Alcohol Program to general revenue. Another reinstatement fee stream also moves from State Police funding to general revenue. These general revenues are distributed under the Revenue Stabilization Law.
