More glucose monitor coverage through Arkansas Medicaid

The law expands Arkansas Medicaid's coverage criteria for continuous glucose monitors. For people with diabetes, insulin use under Medicare policy replaces the old requirement of insulin more than twice daily. People with type 1 or another type of diabetes also meet a listed criterion with evidence of Level 2 or Level 3 low blood sugar. A diagnosis of glycogen storage disease type 1a also meets a listed criterion. This excerpt does not include all coverage requirements.
