From July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, Arkansas’s Educational Television Division receives two operating budgets. State Operations gets $7.134886 million from the Educational Television Fund Account. This covers $4.029233 million for regular salaries, $11,959 for temporary help, $1.461745 million for employee-related matching costs, and $1.631949 million for operating expenses. Cash Operations gets $11.025076 million from cash funds. Its budget includes $1.255554 million for regular salaries, $366,930 for temporary help, and $475,587 for employee-related matching costs. It also includes $6.665555 million for operating expenses, $56,450 for conferences and travel, $600,000 for professional fees, and $1.5 million for capital purchases. Cash Operations also gets $40,000 for grants and aid, $5,000 for goods bought for resale, and $60,000 for promotional items. Neither budget provides data-processing funds; State Operations also provides no conference, travel, professional-fee, or capital funds. Spending must follow applicable laws, fiscal controls, and stated budget purposes, with strict compliance by the Department of Finance and Administration.
From July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, the division can employ no more than 92 regular employees. The authorized list includes two User Support Analysts and excludes the Deputy Director position struck from the earlier draft. When needed, State Operations can use up to five temporary or part-time workers, and Cash Operations can use 46. Their pay comes from funds set aside for temporary help and cannot exceed the applicable state job-classification rate. Project-related temporary jobs are exempt from work-hour limits; both temporary staffing authorizations end June 30, 2027.
