Arkansas buyers gain property contract protections

Arkansas law governs qualifying property purchase or purchase-financing contracts worth $100,000 or less. You must be an individual Arkansas resident, not a company, and enter the contract while physically in Arkansas. Real estate must be in Arkansas; personal property must be used as a dwelling in Arkansas. Arkansas courts have jurisdiction over lawsuits arising from these contracts. These rules apply even if the contract says otherwise.
