Arkansas utility regulators now have 90 days, up from 60, to review annual utility and cooperative updates and issue orders. They must approve strategic-investment cost recovery schedules and annual updates for electric distribution and generation-and-transmission cooperatives whose filings meet the law’s requirements. A separate finding that approval serves the public interest is no longer required. The law sets no customer bill amount. These changes take effect immediately under an emergency clause to correct an error in the 2025 law.
