The law provides about $18.11 million for Arkansas educational television from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. State operations receive $7.02 million from the Educational Television Fund Account for staff and operating costs. Cash operations receive $11.10 million from a state treasury cash fund determined by the state's chief fiscal officer. Cash funding covers staff and operations, including $1.50 million for equipment and other capital purchases and $600,000 for professional fees. It also includes $56,450 for travel, $40,000 for grants and aid, $5,000 for resale goods, and $60,000 for promotional items. The law caps regular staff at 93 and allows five extra-help workers for state operations and 46 for cash operations. Extra-help pay must follow state pay limits; project-related positions are exempt from work-hour limits. Spending must follow state purchasing, budget, salary, and other financial rules and the purposes stated in budget documents. This funding supports educational television services, rather than direct payments to households.
