Arkansas requires written driver’s license tests to include questions about driving safely in highway work zones. The driver’s manual must explain unsafe-driving hazards and penalties, plus statistics about the dangers of moving violations in work zones. It must include stories from highway construction workers and their families. It must also explain why drivers should stay alert and slow down in work zones. A question-and-answer section must cover safe driving in these areas.
