Arkansas dealers selling new all-terrain or low-speed vehicles no longer need a dedicated indoor service and parts area. They also do not have to perform repairs or warranty service at their licensed location. For vehicles sold, dealers must offer on-site service or name a service provider within 40 miles of the dealer. They must provide a warranty or manufacturer's warranty and coordinate warranty service with a provider within 40 miles. Dealers must give buyers provider details and report those details to the Arkansas Motor Vehicle Commission annually at license renewal. The law covers current dealers and license applicants, and the commission must issue rules to carry it out.
