More tribal health services through AHCCCS

By March 30 each year, the AHCCCS director must ask federal officials to approve certain coverage changes. The requests cover services removed, reduced, or limited in Arizona’s health plan on or after September 2010. After federal approval, AHCCCS may pay for qualifying services, including medically necessary dental care, for American Indian and Alaska Native members at participating Indian Health Service or tribal facilities. The requests do not guarantee coverage or payment.
