After a public hearing, the Arizona Game and Fish Commission can suspend or revoke a wildlife license, or deny another, for up to five years. This can follow a listed wildlife violation or a crime involving taking or possessing wildlife, after a conviction, deferred prosecution agreement, or delinquent-juvenile finding. For repeated unlawful taking or wounding of wildlife, convictions, deferred prosecution agreements, and delinquent-juvenile findings count as final dispositions. A second disposition can bring a ban of up to 10 years; a third can bring a permanent ban.
A person can end an active wildlife-license revocation imposed because of a deferred prosecution agreement. They must prove they completed the program and required training, the criminal charges were dismissed, and all civil penalties under A.R.S. § 17-314 were paid in full.
