Different alcohol evidence rules for app drivers
In DUI cases involving people driving for hire or providing app-based rides, the statutory alcohol-level presumptions do not apply. Courts can still consider other competent evidence. The existing exclusion for commercial drivers remains.
More DUI program choices for defendants
For some DUI-related program requirements, evidence-based psychotherapy from a licensed psychologist is an option. A court can also offer a court-approved religious program, but joining is voluntary and the program cannot pressure people to change their beliefs. Completing required programs can affect part of a jail sentence or ignition-interlock timing.
