Motorcycle fees support safety programs

The law creates a dedicated Motorcycle Safety Fund. Through June 30, 2025, Arizona deposits $1 from each covered motorcycle registration fee into the fund; gifts and grants can also add money. The Governor’s Office of Highway Safety manages the fund, and the state treasurer invests its money. Up to 10% can pay administrative costs, and the money must be appropriated for motorcycle safety purposes—not general state operations. This restriction does not cover taxes or other levies under titles 42 or 43. The act applies retroactively to June 29, 2025.
