Bill Overview

Analyzed Economic Effects

2 provisions identified: 1 benefits, 0 costs, 1 mixed.

Workers with dependents get $100 more

Workers receiving temporary total disability payments get an extra $100 per month if at least one person depends on them for support. The total increase is $100, no matter how many dependents they have. The law gives no start date.

Fee rules for injured workers

The Industrial Commission sets and reviews fees each year for injured workers’ medical care, dental care, supplies, and prescription medicines. Proposed schedules are posted at least 30 days before a hearing, and the final proposal is posted at least seven business days before a decision. Drug price rules must follow state pharmacy law and use publicly available formulas for at least 180 days before a hearing. The schedule can cover some medicines dispensed outside public settings, but qualifying unaffiliated mail-order pharmacies do not count as such settings; providers and pharmacies can still negotiate separate rates, and employers can still direct care.
