One statement for multi-agency filers

Beginning January 1, 2027, if you file for more than one joint powers insurance agency, you can choose one combined statement. It must cover all investments in entities doing business in the state, digital financial assets, California real property, and income for the period. You must tell the Fair Political Practices Commission. Your single-filer status stays in place until you revoke it.

Public officials must disclose digital assets

Beginning January 1, 2027, public officials must report digital financial assets on their statements. Only assets worth $2,000 or more are reportable. Filers must list the asset’s common name. Agencies must update conflict-of-interest codes so designated employees report these assets when their work could affect them.
