2 provisions identified: 2 benefits, 0 costs, 0 mixed.

Seniors and disabled get support in shelters

County welfare directors must set up an agreement with local aging or disability agencies. It is coordinated with the local shelter lead under the State Emergency Plan. The agreement lets those staff enter evacuation shelters during active emergencies. This keeps services and support going for seniors and people with disabilities.

State reimbursement for local mandate costs

The state reimburses local agencies and school districts if the Commission on State Mandates confirms mandated costs. Payments follow existing reimbursement rules in the Government Code. The law does not set payment amounts.
