The law requires the state to post human trafficking data online. The site shows arrests under the state’s human trafficking law and the number of people reported as victims. Data comes from the California Incident-Based Reporting System. This makes enforcement and victim trends easier for the public to see.
If the Commission on State Mandates decides this law creates state-mandated costs, California reimburses local agencies and school districts. The law sets no dollar amounts. Payment happens only after a formal ruling under the state’s mandate reimbursement rules.
