2 provisions identified: 1 benefits, 1 costs, 0 mixed.

No fake DMV or Highway Patrol signs

The law bans signs, marks, or ads that claim an official tie to the DMV or the Highway Patrol. This applies unless the person has permission. It helps stop scams and confusion for drivers.

No DMV words in licensed business names

If you hold an occupational license under Division 5, you cannot use 'DMV,' the DMV logo, or 'Department of Motor Vehicles' in your business name. You also cannot put these in your phone number, website domain, or ads to suggest an official DMV tie. Some licensees may need to change names, domains, or ads.
