3 provisions identified: 2 benefits, 0 costs, 1 mixed.
The Division of Workers’ Compensation must write rules to carry out these changes. The rules must follow the normal public process. The rules must take effect by January 1, 2027.
The law requires the Division of Workers’ Compensation to publish two standard forms. One is a template for medical evaluator reports that includes all items required by law and rules. The other is a request form to contact a panel medical evaluator before an exam. Parties can still send any other relevant records to the evaluator. These forms make reports and requests clearer, but they do not change who gets benefits.
Using the state’s template report does not, by itself, prove a medical report is complete, correct, or compliant. Judges and parties must still check the details and evidence. This is an evidence rule and does not change benefit eligibility or payment amounts.
