Beginning January 1, 2027, health facilities, clinics, home health agencies, and hospices that file state reports must file a yearly update. They state if all eligible employees get employer health coverage on day one with no waiting period. If not, they must report the wait time, either one time for all or by job group: physicians; interns, residents, and fellows; registered nurses; licensed vocational nurses; aides and orderlies; medical assistants; home health aides; technicians and specialists; clerical/administrative staff; environmental services and food staff; management/supervision; and all other classes. The department lets employers choose from set ranges: 0 days; 1–14; 15–30; 31–60; 61–90; or more than 90 days. The department posts this information online at least once a year. The department tries to fold this into existing reports, and entities that do not file reports now are not covered.
