Jurors must swear truthful answers and verdict

The law updates jury oaths. Before questions begin, the judge asks the panel to say "I do." By saying it, you swear under penalty of perjury to answer all screening questions truthfully about your ability to serve. Lying can lead to criminal charges. After the jury is chosen, each juror again says "I do." You promise to decide the case only on the evidence and the judge’s instructions. The court gets this second pledge right after selection.
